Based on the production on hand, customer preferences and the available machinery in the MSI-line, VACAM automatically decides the optimal route to reach the highest efficiency. MSI designates the end of transporting raw profiles and semi-finished products from machine to machine. MSI stands for one integrated production system. You can track and monitor every profile, product and future planning in real time by using VACAM, Voortman’s proprietary CNC control software installed on every machine.

CNC coping uses a CNC machine to conduct the entire steel coping process in only a few steps. As an automated alternative to manual coping, manufacturers can transfer all relevant engineering data and prepare the beams in a single procedure.

To integrate the machine to an MSI beam line, full automatic profile transport can be provided. Our/The VACAM software controls sensors drag-dogs and liftables for transporting profiles onto and off the outfeed roller conveyor. Select products will automatically be made from the trading lengths. Cross-transports can handle multiple profiles. The machine can operate independently for a considerable time.

After installing a machine or production line, Voortman installs a net of safety measures. These safety measures comprise of light curtains, emergency cords and emergency stop buttons. Voortman has made it one of its priorities to deliver a safe production line, yet not hold up production if the operator needs to enter the safe zone. This is accomplished by using gated light curtains allowing loading and unloading while the machines continue processing, and by delivering remote controls with a kill switch that operators can use when carrying out tasks inside the safety zone.

The machine housing houses the roller-feed measuring system. This gives you complete flexibility for expansion and planning in your workshop. FAST PROFILE MEASURINGThe Voortman V808 robotic thermal cutting machine is equipped with the fast, accurate and versatile Panasonic TL-1800G3 coping robot. The torch nozzle of the robot is fitted with a measuring sensor to measure the exact profile dimensions. The difference between actual measured profile dimensions and theoretical dimensions are compensated during the cutting process to ensure the most accurate result possible. To save time, the coping robot only measures the sides of the profile that will actually be processed.
